INPUTBOX$ function

Purpose: InputBox function displays a prompt in a dialog box, waits for the user to input text in the edit box or to click a button, and returns the contents of the edit box as a string.


 Syntax: 

 Response$ = INPUTBOX$(WindowTitle$, Prompt$, DefaultResponse$)

 Parameters:

  • WindowTitle$ Title on the InputBox.
  • Prompt$ Prompt above edit box.
  • DefaultResponse$ Default response inserted in edit box.

 Return Value:

  • Response$, the return value, is a string containing contents of the edit box.
